Inside Hydrology [9 to 11:30 a.m.] Join John Jenkins, CREW trustee and Executive Director of Bonita Springs Utili­ties, Inc. (BSU) for a tour of BSU’s water and wastewater plan. CREW’s mission is the preservation and stewardship of the water resources and natural communities in and around the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed. But what is the connection between that water resource and our drink­ing water supply? What does it take to use it as potable water in our homes, and to reuse it as an alternative irrigation source from our wastewater plants? Climb around BSU’s water and wastewater treatment plants while we discuss the treatment processes. 22nd Annual Step Up for Parkinson’s In-Person & Virtual Walk [9 a.m. to noon] Gather your family and friends and join the Parkinson’s Association of Southwest Florida as we “Step Up” for Parkinson’s Disease. Join the in-person walk at Baker Park in Naples or participate in our virtual walk. The fun-filled day will include a T-shirt, snacks, refreshments, a one-mile walk, entertainment, and raffles. Family Fun Day [9 a.m. to 1 p.m.] Join the Bonita YMCA at Camp Estero for a full day of outdoor activities. History Wonder Walk: Places of Wonderment [10 a.m. to noon] Hear about lost historic tourist attractions of wonderment like the original Shell Fac­tory (now in North Fort Myers), Seminole Indian Village, the Dome, and Mystery House. Then get a VIP tour of the 80-year- old Everglades Wonder Gardens, still going strong, to experience the history and beauty of this tropical oasis and learn about the colorful Piper brothers who created it. CREW Flint Pen Strand Trails Walk [Every Thursday through April – 9 to 11:30 a.m.] Hikes will cover around 1.5 miles of uneven ground. Be sure to wear comfortable walk­ing shoes and appropriate outdoor cloth­ing. Bring water to drink. Sunscreen and a hat are advisable. Wearing a face covering and social distancing are required while participating in CREW Trust Programs. If you choose not to wear a face cover­ing while on a CREW Trust program, you will be asked to leave the group and hike the trails on your own. Koreshan State Park Historic Settlement Tours [Every Saturday & Sunday, 10 a.m. or 2 p.m.] Explore the 19th century religious Kore­shan Unity Settlement, its structures, and gardens. Join our guided walking tours and learn about these idealistic pioneers. The walking tour is about an hour and a half. Tours start at the Historic Settlement Entrance.
